PHSE
At St Nicholas Priory, we believe that relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) enable
our children to become healthy, safe, independent and responsible members of society. RSHE at Priory is underpinned by our embedded school rules of ready, respectful, and safe. Through the teaching of RSHE at Priory we aim to help all children understand how they are developing personally and socially, preparing them to live safe, fulfilled, and healthy lives, whilst also allowing the children to learn about their own and others’ rights and responsibilities.
Furthermore, through teaching RSHE we aim to tackle many of the moral, social, and cultural questions and areas of learning that are part of growing up, giving all our children the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and values needed to make informed choices about their lives now, and as they prepare for their future beyond our school, in our diverse and global community.
