Into University

Into University have been working with Year 5 during the Spring Term. This culminated with Year 5 attending an ‘Engineering Workshop Day’ at the Into University base in Market Gates. The children worked in teams to create a ‘marble rollercoaster’, with most models working successfully when they were tested – well done!

Skipping Ninja

The school hosted the world-record-holding Skipping Ninja. He displayed his amazing skipping skills in assemblies before leading workshops for all of the children in the school. Gymnastic Skills

Some of the Year 1 and 2 children had the opportunity to take part in a specialist activity, aimed at extending their gymnastics skills. They used the rings, uneven bars and practised landing safely.  

Inter-Schools Competition

Year 5 and 6 children took part in an inter-school competition, which was aimed at encouraging children to enjoy physical activity and participation in competition events. The children had an amazing time and were ranked third overall – well done! 

Bowling Competition

For the third year running, The Pod children entered a 10-pin bowling competition, specifically designed for children with special educational needs. The Podsters walked to the local venue and had a great time meeting and competing against children from other local schools … and came second!! A huge well done to all of our Pod-bowlers.
