During the Summer Term, the children in Year 4 took part in the Young Norfolk Arts Festival and worked towards creating a piece of performance poetry. Initially they received a virtual visit from the poet, Molly Naylor, who worked with all of the children to create a poem. Four finalists were chosen to represent the school at a ‘Slam Poetry’ final which was held at Norwich Arts Centre on the 16th July. The children performed their poems in front of an audience (they were incredibly brave!) and they received one of the much-coveted Performance Poetry prizes for their amazing performances.
